This is an extremely bizarre statement to make!

If it were in the RSGB's remit to decide who should run GB5HQ, then there
would have to have been a formal decision by the Board or one of its
committees (a) not to organise GB5HQ and (b) to allow a "private group" to
do so instead. I would challenge Doug to tell us where he has seen such
decisions documented. I simply do not believe there is any truth in his
assertion.

On the other hand, if it is not in the RSGB's remit, why should the RSGB
elbow aside a very successful team which has been running this for the past
three or four years?
