I recently requested information from this forum, regarding a planning
application I submitted.
I am pleased to announce that following today's meeting with the concerned
planning officer, I will be granted full planning permission for 4 masts
(Towers).
For the technically inclined, the 4 towers will form a 4 Square on Top band,
as well as 80, and will be used to support mainly mono banders, although I
do have an LPH 1 (6.2 - 30MHz Log Periodic) to go up at 80 feet.
(The QTH is located 1,200 Feet asl in a remote area of North Wales. I have 4
neighbours within 1 mile radius, and plenty of trees to screen.)
I would like to thank all those from this forum who forwarded information
etc, and acknowledge the assistance I have received from the RSGB's Planning
Committee.
I have today sent the following as a letter to the RSGB's HQ:
Dear Sir
I wish to formally acknowledge the fantastic assistance I was given by the
RSGB's Planning Committee following a successful planning application.
The submitted proposal, which by all accounts, an ambitious project,
including 4 (3 x 60 Foot, 1 x 80 foot) towers in an area regarded as a
"Special Landscaping Area", as well as bordering a Conservation Area and an
Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has today been given the go ahead by the
local planning officer.
This was only achieved by the extremely accurate and timely advice, given
freely, by the Planning Committee. I am extremely grateful.
Now, the digging starts !
