Re: Our initial response to this thread, we wrote why the G6PZ team and
station was chosen to undertake the role of 15m SSB. Our past results are
the reason we were selected and a look at our multi-single team results will
reveal all.

We are one of the leading M/S teams in Europe and indeed are European
champions currently in one of the largest contests in the calendar: CQ WPX.
Also #1 EU in e.g. CQWW RTTY, UBA, etc. World #3 ARRL RTTY Roundup, world #6
in Russian DX (#3 EU with UU7J etc above who will of course always do
extremely well due to their location and native tongue). There are other
decent results in major contests such as CQ 160, ARRL DX etc... Also, it is
worth noting our recent UBN reports; losing only ~6% in CQWW CW 2005.

Working as a team is far different to working as an individual. Consistency
is a factor of station reliability and operator performance; it's only when
you get this mix right that you begin winning contests. For GB5HQ the
pre-planning and preparation of all station hosts and operators isn't just
decided on the day - it takes months of planning and hard work!

So, to echo what Graham M5AAV has already said, it should have been
relatively obvious to any serious contester as to why G6PZ and the other
stations which form(ed) GB5HQ were chosen.

73,
Paul G6PZ & Simon M0CLW
