[UK-CONTEST] IARU Contest: Level playing-field?

I think I mentioned this on one of the few postings I made on the subject;
early on.

I don't feel it is contesting to solicit contacts in this way before a
contest; and to encourage people to use as many calls as they can muster.

In fact; I remember a time when Chris was Chairman, when he used to complain
to me about a few of our club members / associates  who came on to work us
in club events !!!  (typically Lichfield ARS entries). Unfortunately we
never had 300 "members".......

I know we had some of those QSO's taken away from us.....

I thought CQ , for example; compared uniques, and took action on those that
were thought to be excessive  (uniques as a % are reported on). I am sure
that if the IARU adjudicators did this, it would soon stamp out the
practice; and GB5HQ could compete on a level playing field!
