The problem here Adrian is that some of us are and some of us ain't.  This 
is why there are rules, I guess.  Participants in any competitive activity 
(e.g. footie, tennis, tax avoidance, etc., etc.) are bound to take whatever 
advantage they can of these.   Expecting people to forego such advantages 
for unspecified *gentlemanly* reasons is I think unreasonable.  If the 
organisers don't like what people get up to *within the rules* as drafted, 
they just have to change them.

*Big knob - little knob* operation is I suggest a pretty innocuous example. 
Some might opine that reliance upon a more or less intelligent computer, 
e.g. to provide an automated partial list, should qualify as *assistance*.
