Hello all

Almost afraid to join this thread ! Could I ask how many entrants now
submit paper logs for RSGB events ? This used to be a very time-consuming
issue, with the adjudicators having to type them into suitable software
before cross-checking. I would suggest that in 2006 the onus should be on
the entrant to do this, not the log-checkers.

I'm sure that there are a few die-hards who will say 'if I can't log on
paper I'm not entering' but using paper logs nowadays is just silly - any
old 486 lying in a garage can run any old DOS logging software.

Why not give those who insist on logging on paper the option of entering
online by typing in their own logs to a secure database/server - its up to
them to do the work and check the accuracy of their own submission ? I think
this should be easy enough to implement ?
