Planning permission for a BP60, tribander etc was granted this morning. 
The planning officer had recommended approval, and it was granted over 
the objections of the neighbour and his professional representative.

Even the objector had to concede we had successfully seen off all the 
stuff about health issues and EMC, so in the end it all came down to 
visual amenity. But the closing response to the objector's oral 
statements had to be given completely on-the-fly (adrenaline levels 
still aren't back to normal).

My grateful thanks to everybody who helped, in all kinds of ways. The 
RSGB Planning Panel did sterling work, lots of people provided case 
data, and even simply talking through the issues was good preparation 
for that vital closing statement.

Will pick up some "lessons learned" with the Planning Panel in a few 
weeks' time. Meanwhile, Nadine and I are going on holiday - we deserve 
one!
