Have you adjusted the secondary Mic Amp located underneath?

Hi Andy, thanks for all. Yes the Orion is on v2 and I,ve done the hardware
mod as well, no other issues with it here. I set my audio up at mike level 8
or just when the red ALC indicator blinks , speech processor 3 or 4
(usually 3) tx equilisation at - 9 or so. The mike is a Heil proset plus
switched to the NORMAL insert. I find that the dx element is too shrill for
me. I also play around with tx bandwidth settings as well, usually run at
2.5-3 khz but sometimes go down to 1.8 if giving some one too much grief etc
etc, I hope this helps.
