[UK-CONTEST] Commonwealth Contest.

For information, we reused some of the "redundant" trophies for IOTA.
However, we try where possible to have non-returnable trophies (which,
of course, requires an annual sponsorship) for the simple reason that
shipping trophies overseas can be problematical and getting them back
even more so! Not so bad for the UK, but can still be tricky!
As for categories, it seems to me in this day and age that all that is
required is for the web listing to show hours worked, power, etc. and
you can create your own category - i.e. sort the listings to show that
subset of entrants that you feel you are competing with. Or am I wrong -
is there a desire for some greater sort of peer recognition - callsign
in large type or something?
An interesting philosophical discussion! (incidentally, among the "big
guns" certificates and trophies are often of little interest - some of
those who win most regularly never turn up at HFCC to collect trophies,
never bother to send a thank-you to the sponsors, etc. - one has to
assume that "winning" is what is important, but that the shack
wall/shelves are already full to overflowing with the silverware!).

Spot on there Brian. There are quite a few redundant trophies at HQ
but I'm not sure how many of them are contest associated. Perhaps this
is comething that Don can look at when he gets organised.
