So as not to confuse the readers Bob, whether the coax length is critical or not, at:
1.80MHz coax length is 20ft 6 inches
1.85MHz coax length is 20ft
2.00MHz coax length is 18ft 6 inches.
3.7MHz coax length is 10ft
The maths for it is: 37 / freq MHz = coax length (RG-58)

The length of the loop is not that critical, as the capacitance value of LDFx-50 is around 20pf a foot. Although it needs to be around the 20' mark to work on 160M. Interestingly, the trusty MFJ259 analyser did not help me to resonate mine and I had lots of capacitors in parallel before reaching a compromise value that would work when peaking receiver noise was heard, but did not show anything meaningful with the analyser. When the audio does peak it is very definitive, you can't miss it. It was I think, somewhere around the 1000 pf mark in the end. I have also heard of two other loops that could not be set up with a conventional analyser approach.
(Drop me a line off reflector Chris (SJJ)if you need more set up info).
Good luck !
