Hi all
I missed the first 6 hours due to a family visit, so decided to enter the
12-hour section - unfortunately I also failed to read the rules carefully
and assumed the contest had started at 1200z, not 1000z - so when still
calling 'CQ BERU' at 1006z I was bombarded by stations sending 'QRT' - I of
course assumed this was a cunning plan to steal my frequency so told them to
'QSY' - thanks to G4RCG for telling me about my mistake !
My first participation in BERU for a while - conditions and activity seemed
below average ? - no LP opening to VK/ZL this morning, but some QSOs on that
path last night. 40m seemed fairly good. Worked GB5CC (tnx guys) and 4
other stations on 15m, but have no antenna here for 10m.
123 QSOs in about 7 hrs of operating. Used Writelog (which actually works
well) in CQ WPX CW mode, so will have to score the log manually - in this
event you work everything you can hear so real-time mult checking is
un-necessary.
If we are submitting Cabrillo files for the entry, I assume this means I
actually don't need to have a claimed score ? (I will work it out anyway)
