What a civilised way to contest! I drew up an operating schedule based
on Gerry's comments. First session was 1230-1830 with 103 Qs in the log.
At an average rate of 16 Qs per hour, there was plenty of time to CQ,
S&P, move around bands, work some DX, read e-mails, read new CDXC
journal and plan my next 2 contests. Continued after a pleasant evening
meal, from Rick Stein's Seafood Lovers Guide, accompanied by a bottle of
French Chardonnay. That session from 2150-2350 added a further 44 Qs.
After some sleep, the last session was planned from 0530-0930, but there
was nothing new to work in the first half hour so started at 0600. It
was dire, adding just 20 Qs over 3.5 hours. I switched off and went for
breakfast at 0930 with 167 QSOs, although I guess around 6 or 7 were
non-Commonwealth. Just made sense to log them so that I could transfer
the whole lot into my general logging program. N1MM performed smoothly,
the development team had modded the Jubilee format to add a field for
HQ, and also include it in the Cabrillo file.
