As for propagation progs, I use W6EL and ASAPS (which I don't think is 
available easily) plus (of course) for BERU a hard look at the 
sunrise/sunset times around the world !

Both propagation programmes give similar results although ASAPS seems to be 
a bit more in touch with what actually happens.
