[UK-CONTEST] GS2MP etc...

Hello all

This reflector seems to have come to life recently.

GS2MP - Alan, Bob - thanks for the QSOs - I made only 7 QSOs in BERU using
our club callsign GS2MP - no intention to enter the event, just give out a
few points.

BERU - a.k.a. 'death by a thousand CQs' - for some unknown reason I enjoy
this contest - maybe because it's one of the very few HF contests which are
run from the UK - but please please no DXCluster in this event. I have not
entered this event from the UK for about 3 years and there seemed a marked
reduction in the number of 'ordinary' VE3 and VK3 stations who would come on
and make a few QSOs. Despite the awesome inertia of RSGB rules, maybe some
changes could be made to make this event slightly more attractive ?

I'm fed up with this rubbish about 'every band is occupied every other
weekend by some contest or another' - this is a communications hobby so with
even a little initiative QSOs can be made. I agree 100% with Roger G3SXW's
remarks - this is the uk-contest reflector after all, so dissenters can't
expect much sympathy here ! Pse QSY !
