[UK-CONTEST] Filters

It is possible to make or obtain crystal filters at your operating frequency
but these are somewhat limiting in the b/w covered and are quite expensive.
LC filters will be of little help for in band filtering as they won't have
adequate slopes.
The usual strategies for operating CW and SSB stations on the same band at
the same time have two issues at their core:
* Use of radios which have very good strong signal handling.
* An arrangement of antennas with as little mutual coupling as possible. In
particular, where yagis are to be used, site them such that the elements are
end on to each other when beaming in your most favoured direction. Roughly
speaking, in the UK that would suggest siting one antenna roughly due north
of the other. Needless to say, the greater the distance you can achieve
between the antennas the better off you will be. And remember, the Inverse
Square Law shows us that every bit of seperation counts.
Close attention to the above two factors can make band sharing CW/SSB
successful. Pay attention to the wide spaced dynamic range of the radios
you plan to use. If they don't have figures around 90-95dB, they're likely
not going to be very good in this kind of environment. A useful table which
may well list your particular radios can be found at

Good luck.
