Hi everyone
A report on my activity from ZL6QH in the 2006 Commonwealth contest is published
at http://www.zl6qh.com/000376.html
Score is down on that achieved in previous years, mainly due to the poorer
conditions on the high bands. Things got really boring around midday on Sunday
so I took the afternoon off and did some maintenance work around the ZL6QH
antenna farm. However, it was still a fun contest, and I hope to be back for
more, although ZL6QH may be off the air next year to make way for the building
of a wind farm.
As mentioned by some others on the uk-contest reflector, continuing to call "CQ
BERU" (British Empire Radio Union) does not make a lot of sense considering
that the BERU has long gone. I see some merit in using "CC" as an alternative
instead of "BERU", it also permits a shorter CQ exchange. I am a fan of making
the change to "CC" if others are keen ....
Thanks to everyone for the QSOs.
