Delighted with a huge score for me of 75Qs. Great conditions. Received a serial number of 54 at 20.15, good job I do this for fun or it would have been off to the pub!
Not strong enough to hold a frequency for long but managed a couple of productive runs then went S+P.
If the low power guys and QRPers can do so well how about limiting the power in a future event to say 10 watts? A benefit of this would be to reduce the noise on the band and possibly give more stations the opportunity to make more Qs. (Especially myself!)
Heard a couple of stations complaining as they could not understand why contesters were disturbing their ragchew, I quote "Why do they have a contest on a Thursday night, do they not have anything better to do with their time.....?" Yes but contesting is FUN!
I was pleased to work some continentals and to be asked by a DL if it was okay to work him in the contest. Clearly there are others in Europe who have nothing better to do than participate in contests, long may it continue!
73 and thanks for the fun
Jim, MM0BQI
