Hi Dick, yes it is perfectly acceptable to run these services in dado
trunking, ( in the trade known as dildo rail ) I use it here. The only thing
you must be carefull of is to keep the mains 230v ac seperate from either rf
or computer cables as it will contravine electrical regs.Choose a system
that has seperate compartments to allow services of different bands to be
installed. The regs also state that "consideration" be given to electrical
interference data and comms circuits, so high standards of screening,
earthing and construction should be used. I could quote all the regs but
generally the aforementioned is adequate. Also bear in mind that if you
create a new circuit then a part p certificate will be required. Unless you
are part p qualified it is not acceptable to to the work your self and get
someone in to sign it off. If you are modifiing an existing circuit as long
as its not supplied from or located in a bathroom or kitchen or in the
garden then this non part p notifiable. I know it all seems a bit "picky"
but it is now LAW and not to comply is a serious offence. Please be
carefull about earthing, concideration about PME and seperates for RF can
cause problems and in some cases be lethal. 73 Paul G6PZ. (consultant
engineer). ----- Original Message -----
