100% agree that dinghy sailing racing should be classified as a sport - and
for the very reasons you describe.

But those reasons you gave can most certainly be applied to Amateur Radio
contests too - skill, fitness, stamina (both mental and physical - and interrelated),
certainly a high degree of mental agility, and great accuracy in measuring
high performing antennas, filters and many other technical aspects that feature
in successful station design and operation.

I would give total backing for any claim / campaign that Radio contesting
is indeed a sport.
