[UK-CONTEST] Region 1 contesting matters

John G3WKL has asked me to post this on the reflector as he is not a
subscriber.

Those of you going to Gatwick next weekend may have seen that John has a
session at 11.45 on Saturday morning, which is entitled "Contesting
Guidelines, Deliberate QRM, WRC07". John's role as the RSGB's HF manager
includes acting as the conduit to IARU Region 1 on HF matters including HF
contesting, given that Region 1 does not currently have a Contest Manager or
contest sub-committee, as was the case in the past. John would welcome input
at his session from UK contesters. There is a clash with the VHF Contest
Trophy presentations, but hopefully many of you will be able to make it to
John's session.

(It is worth noting that this is a good opportunity to raise matters such as
the harmonisation or otherwise of Region 1 Field Days!)
