Fellow Contesters.
Some of you know that my operation from SV8 in the IOTA contest was the
first time I have been abroad, well this time I'm going to get a gentle
introduction to Africa!.
I'll be QRV from Bijilo Beach, The Gambia from 24th to 31st October as
C52T (call confirmed on arrival). I'll operate in the CQWW SSB contest
and outside of this I'll be on SSB/CW/RTTY all bands from 160 to 6M.
Please call me on HF if anyone thinks 6M is open and I will QSY (even
during cqww).
I will have an IC7000 100W, a Yagi for 10/15/20 and simple wire antennas
on the other bands, the 6M antenna will be a quad loop.
QSL via G0TSM direct / bureau / LOTW / eQSL

That's the blurb done with,
I've actually rented an apartment from Noz C5DXC and he has helped by
arranging the licence, sorting out the paperwork ready for customs etc,
I've shipped down by air freight a Create 5 ele tribander, a rotator,
cables & poles and I'm taking a 40ft Spiderbeam grp telescopic pole,
this will be used on top of a two story building supporting an 80m
doublet and a 6m quad loop. When i leave Noz can use the tribander on
his station. I'll also take a 40m dipole just in case the doublet
doesn't tune up that well, I had a few glitches tuning up a 40m doublet
on SV8, bands like 30 & 12M caused rf to get into the display of the
IC7000 and the power lead of the laptop locking up the keyboard. This
time I'm taking ferrite rings!..
I should have wireless internet, if so you'll find me logged into GB7EDX
using the C5 call and I'll be able to receive 'Talk' messages if anyone
wants a QSY.
