Gentlemen
Thanks for your help so far. There's been some conflicting information,
which makes me think that some models may have been upgraded over time,
whilst retaining the same, or very similar, model name. Guess my best bet is
to contact the manufacturer.

Hi John,
my Etrex Summit does Maidenhead Locators as do most of the Garmin GPS. You
can check the manuals on their support site if you need to confirm what each
one does. I am fairly certain all the Etrex range do Maidenhead!
