At present I am off the air on 20 15 10 due to S9 plus noises. My station is
a FT1000MP for HF and FT847 for VHF but of course the FT847 also covers HF.

I have run my FT847 off a battery and switched off the mains and the noise
remains wiping out 20 15 and 10.

The noise seems to peak about every 50kHz.

I need to make a very portable DF antenna for 20m to locate the noise; does
anyone have a basis of a design, please?
