Mike

To email the results manually to everyone is quite a chore. This year we are
looking seriously at software aids. We already email the IOTA Contest
results to all entrants - it takes the press of a button (actually, last
year we didn't email the results, we email them a URL where they will find
the results and their personal adjudication report). But that particular
tool isn't currently available for other events.

Interestingly, though, anything up to about a third of such emails don't
reach their desitnation - either the entrant has changed his email address
in the interim or the mailing gets caught in his spam filter. I guess this
would be less of a problem where all the entrants are from the UK, but is
still an issue.
