Guys. I usually ignore that error message. However, if it is
limiting, ask on the N1MM reflector where you will get a
quick solution.

I am quite familiar with the WKUSB units, having built four
of them now! My latest unit carries the V21 chip; indeed the
K1EL site states 'We are now shipping WKUSBs with the WK2
v21 IC'. I am therefore a bit confused as to why you get the
message you do!
Have you tried the unit with the K1EL supplied software
(WKMGR and Winkeyer2)? This may give some clues. Also,
maybe you could try it on Win-Test? The free version will
work for this test - when you configure the port correctly,
it tells you which version of Winkey is in use.
