[UK-CONTEST] VHF Contests too long?

My email exchange was nothing to do with the use of ON4KST. However on  
that subject I would like to add that for contest like the 2m Backpackers,  
use of ON4KST should certainly be disallowed. I doubt any real backpacking  
entrant could carry gear for that system as well - which would give a  
significant advantage to carpackers. For other contests I dont see a  
problem but I have not been close enough to them to be certain. No doubt  
the VHFCC had good reasons.
