Clive,

I would stick with my existing call - despite it being an absolute dog on CW!

Clive,

The subject of vanity or 'personalised calls' is being actively pursued
but it is an uphill struggle with the arguments from Ofcom now being
based on available resources. For some reason they have visions of
50,000 full licensees all wanting to change their call!

Let me carry out a straw poll of members of this reflector and Tim might
be able to advise me of the number of subscibers -

How many of you would want a personalised callsign i.e. GNLL, MNLL, 2LNL
(N=number, L=letter) if it meant surrendering your old callsign?

Clive, I also agree with your final sentence.

Now of course anyone using a SCC will want to keep a log, I assume, (and I think should do for a non-contest station too !) but the legal basis for the licence appears to be inconsistent with the standard licence. I wonder if this is a hang-over from the old wording, or an intentional difference ?
