John,
You can get a copy of the Technical Supplement (4.8Mb) for the FT1000mp
here http://www.va3cr.net/manuals/Material/Technical%20Supplement.pdf
which gives details of how to check the alignment of the PLL Loop VCO
(page 15 labelled as 3-3) and the PLL Main Loop VCO (page 17 labelled as
3-5).
It also appears the FT1000mp uses 11 BPFs so it's unlikely that one BPF
would cover both 30M and 20M. Unfortunately, I've yet to find the
frequency range each one covers and I don't have my MP here to check
where they switch....
