86? Gee Whizz Dave, it makes me wonder what I need to do sometimes. Quite
remarkable how conditions can be so different depending where you are,
sometimes only 50-100 miles away. I'm amazed. I could most often hear the EU
guy making his call into the G stations, but literally no trace at all of
the G stations making the running(s).
So the bottom line is that I worked either the locals - or - Jersey, France,
Netherlands, Germany etc. Bit like a 2m contest with a slight lift!

I had someone come up on frequency and make a couple of remarks. He had
an English accent and was quite loud. Either extremely local (G1WKS
three miles away was about S6!) or quite a long way away. Anyway, I
pointed out that he was contravening his licence by not identifying, and
I asked him what his callsign was. Had no more trouble from him.
Struggled hard for my 86 QSOs. Isn't propagation fascinating?
