Yes, for the simple reason that, if words have any
consistent meaning, "single-op" is exactly that.

When an operator receives focussed real-time spotting
assistance from other individuals, he/she is no longer
single-op regardless of the description of the category
entered.

Rubbish!  CQ has drawn lines for low-power and QRP.
Are these to be abolished too?

The telephone cannot be uninvented, but I don't recall
CQ ever allowing phone-patching in contests.

It would be helpful to first hear your definition of
single-op - pure or otherwise. However, if it includes
the use of any non-radio technology involving focussed
real-time spotting assistance from other individuals,
then it may not be relevant.
