Roger that is a really distressing piece of news, Phil and I go back a long
long way to his W6 days before he moved to New Mexico.  We spent lots of
time chatting in Brazil at WRTC and as some will know Phil was a guest
speaker at the January CCF Cruise in Finland. From a pure radio view he gave
me out of 200 CQ Band Zones for the 5-Band WAZ he accounted for 117 during
his amazing quest to operate CQWW Contests from all 40 CQ Zones and never
failed to come up with the QSL via the bureau. Sad thing is he only recently
re-married and was once again like a little school boy when talking about
his new love.
