Hi Callum et al

A belated Happy New Year, etc..  I've just purchased a new ProSet4 as  
a back-up to my 8-year old ProSet.  The Heil inserts seem to need  
replaced every few years - I think they are prone to damp - first sign  
of a dying insert is a 'thin' sounding TX.

I would go for the Proset rather than the Proset Plus - in a 48-hour  
contest anything too heavy/too tight is going to be a serious  
annoyance - you'll find that you don't use one or other of the inserts  
I'm sure.

Another possible consideration - I had a Telex headset years ago which  
had a very large microphone - over a prolonged period of operating you  
felt as if it was behaving like a gag i.e. restricting your intake of  
air, believe it or not !
