I've found that your username is generally your first initial and surname, all
in one (ie Joe Bloggs would be jbloggs).

This could be problematic if your name is John Smith I suppose, but I've
registered a few local guys, with no internet access, or limited computer
literacy (and you need to be intelligent to figure the licensing system out!),
and tried the day after registering, and have gotten straight in, within 24h of
registering...

May be worth a try!
