Sorry to bring this old chestnut up again, it's just that someone has
recently asked in the CDXC Yahoo reflector about getting in touch with
Reading Radio Club. I did a search on Google just to be inquisitive and I
noticed that there's a Reading Radio Club -AND- a Reading and District
Amateur Radio Club.

Now I realise why my contest log wasn't "accurate enough" for scrutinizers
after its submission for the Club Calls contest. I had marked too many of my
READING club entries, "READING" when in fact I should have been more
specific (eg Radio Club or DARC).

It's the first time I entered that contest - with a compromise "estate"
antenna (in other words, bloody difficult conditions!) and now the penny has
really dropped; the aims of the contest -vs- the difficulty of 160m -vs- the
pedantically scrutinised exchange = I'll not be entering that one again.

Hi Callum,This is my first time on the contest reflector, sorry I have not been able to reply to your comments sooner.I am with the Reading and District Amateur Radio Club.I help organise club contests and send in club entrees. In last years 160m club calls contest we only put on 2 stations, G3ULT/P and G0LHZ. Both stations sent Reading and District Amateur Radio ClubG3ULT/P was at my QTH with help from M3NDP and G1PPA.It is very easy to miss hear when band conditions are bad.I always find this contest a challenge.Give it another try, I am sure you will enjoy it.Good luck73 Tom G0VQR
