I was still in the queue at Argos at 1415 but managed 270 with 1 dupe (my fault) by the end, which is my best all time SSB total. Wish I'd started on time now - the first hour up here is usually a waste of time! Seems like it was a good event all round - I enjoyed it.
I trawled down from the top, stopped at 3729.8 and ran for 1.5 hrs, then, having finally had enough of the SSTV QRM, I continued my trawl down the band to the bottom and turned round and started to trawl back up. Stopped and ran on (I think) 3629-ish until the end. Couldn't be bothered with SO2V. I was suprised at the use of the 3650 - 3700 portion; a few years ago this part of the band would have been clear of contest stuff.
The SSTV QRM was coming from the south-west - I have 2 bevs and 2 Ewes, so I think this is a good estimate of direction. Could be GI/EI or perhaps Wales. I was also deliberately wound up by some idiot saying 'Again' after every CQ for a while near the end. He was in Eu direction and had a DL-like accent.
Used an FT1000mp, ETO91b, dipole and vertical switched as required, 2 bevs and 2 Ewes.
