[UK-CONTEST] TS850 CAT intefacing - help request

Hi

I volunteered(!) to try to interface my local club's TS850 to a PC for Cat
control.  Being a Yaesu man, I am not at all familiar with Kenwood
equipment.  From the manual there appears to be a FIF232 option which is
required.  It's not clear in the manual whether this is fitted inside or is
it an external unit which plugs into the ACC1 on the TS850? If it is inside,
where is it? Can anyone enlighten me on either point?

 

ZLP electronics can supply a cable which allows interfacing without the
FIF232 but the rig has to have the IF10-D option fitted which is not
mentioned as an option in the TS850 handbook at all.
