or G3SJJ multi-tasking. Decided to have a bit of fun after some trauma
during the afternoon.

Next doors cat Tiga had been hit by a car, but his carers didn't arrive
home until about 1845. I had prepared dinner and it was just about ready
for serving (well, kind off, too much red wine vinegar in the salsa
sauce and I chucked in the whole can of anchovies, not one of my best
preparations.) I volunteered to take the lady to the vet and we arrived
back at about 1950. Tiga has a badly bruised face and ego but apart from
that OK. Hopefully a lesson to his arch enemy, Thomas, our cat!

Chatted with Yvonne over dinner, (as I said, not one of my best) and
then decided conclude dining whilst dabbling on the radio. This is
really where the story begins!

Been trying to sort out SO2R and/or two stations. FT1kMP in main indoor
shack, K2/100 (soon to be K3) in summerhouse in the garden. As an
intermediate step I had installed the K2/100 plus new Notebook computer
and new keyboard on the kitchen table and so decided to operate from
there. Well, that was good fun. I had setup N1MM for Enter Sends Message
but soon realised it required just too much brain power than was
available at this time, so reverted back to CT format, entering stuff
with left hand and sending on keyer with right hand. Settled into a nice
rhythm for 80 QSOs in the hour. Interesting that the noise cancelling
headphones made a big difference to copying a DL station.

K2/100, dipole centre at 57ft,ends at about 50ft. N1MM on new Dell
Inspiron laptops with no serial ports!

I got Yvonne to take a photograph if anyone has a website they would
like to put it on for fun. You just can't be too serious about these
things!! Chris G3SJJ
