[UK-CONTEST] USB to Parallel Adapter

Hi Stewart

I am not aware of any such devices that work at all for our
sort of apps. Those advertised seem to be aimed purely at
the printer market, with other pins/functions disabled.

Even dedicated controllers such as the DXdoubler require a
hard wired parallel port to control switching with the
"industry standard" NA protocol.

The MK2R(+) of course does everything via a single USB port,
but there is an awful lot of electronics in the box to
achieve that. Furthermore it could seriously damage your
wealth ( mine has been irreparably damaged!). However it is
of course peerless.

Subject: [UK-CONTEST] USB to Parallel Adapter

Does anyone have experience of using a USB to parallel
adapter in the
control of an SO2R box, keying, etc. Any recommendations?
