[UK-CONTEST] USB to Parallel Adapter

This may be logical or just too simplistic but if you look at the
pin-outs for J9 on the DX Doubler only a small number of connections are
actually made.
For my case, assuming N1MM, Band Data for Topten Band Decoder taken from
FT1kMP/K2, no paddle input or CW keying required as using WinKey via
mHam Keyer, no Early PTT, then the pins which actually need to carry
through to the USB are only 14 (Radio 1/2) and 25 (Ground). So :
A - Is it possible to identify if Pin 14 is carried though? What is this
reference parallel printer being connected?
B - Do any other changes of state on J9 affect the outputs of DXD which
might present a problem? If so, it may be possible to disable them
inside. I haven't taken the cover of yet, but if J9 is hardwired then it
is OK, or maybe in the 25 way plug on the adapter.
