day after payment..don't ever ask for a Saturday delivery it costs £15
extra...

You can if you know your International Parcel Reference do it all on line
which usually saves a couple of days if they have to post a card to you re
the arrival of goods.
This method allows you to track it from Posting in the States right through
to UK final statement bottom line "Out for delivery".  This includes such
gems as "Held for Customs Clearance" .

The days of free entry are few and far between unless it's a free
"development sample"  with no commercial value  but even that is not
guaranteed.
