Having been seduced by the dark side....I'm no longer a CW virgin!

Spent several 30 minute sessions giving away points to those who
could hear/read me. Several 'rpt call' followed by 'is it really you
on cw?'.

Using an IC-7400 @ 50W, to a 10/40 vertical, and a 40m-ish long wire
for 80m. Keying included Kent slate-bed brass key and an original
vibroplex 1965 keyer. The software was WinWarbler and DXKeeper. Still
playing with different keying modes [and looking to buy a paddle next
- recommendations?]

Worked 224 QSO's for unknown number of points. No dupes.

80m - 17 Q 12 DXCC 4 zones - Best was K5ZD
40m - 96 Q 38 DXCC 7 zones - Best was 4L0A A45XR 9K2HN
20m - 107 Q 34 DXCC 8 zones - Best was RV9JE UA0AGI
15m - 4 Q 4 DXCC 4 zones - Best was K4FJ

Unable to break in to any of the pileups for the exotica, expecially
from the Carribbean and South America. On the plus side though, every
contact worked had the potential to be a new CW DXCC!

Noticed that a lot of stations were using auto keyers, where they
send my call back to me at around 25wpm, but the following on
exchange would be at 35-40wpm.

Anyway - MOST ENJOYABLE...

Graeme
