At this time there is no similar event in the french contests calendar.
But, as a member of the french contests committee I will suggest to 
introduce some short timed contest like this one or like the club 
championships.
In France there are 10 shorts contests but only on 2m and up (4 hours 
the sunday morning). Nothing on HF.
