[UK-CONTEST] BXI / versatower pix

Guys

I know this isn't the right forum so firstly, please forgive the
"bandwidth".

Can anyone tell me whether there is a similar group to this one that refers
to towers - particularly towers that are used within the UK, and who might
be able to help me with regard to a few specific queries?

Along with some friends, I am attempting to re-erect a 60ft, 40 year old BXI
tower that was originally post mounted. We have the original post - and
intend to re-erect the tower, but it appears that our tower has been
modified to be mounted on its base, as someone appears to have welded a
plate to the bottom of the lower section. We would like to install the tower
in a standard fashion and ignore this modification, but we are unsure how
the lower section is supposed to be locked in place when it is in its
vertical position.

I have seen Chris' (GM3WOJ) very FB web site that has very useful tower
information - but I could really do with talking to someone - and also
seeing a few photos of the base to post fixing if anyone has such a thing?

Also, we are unsure of the method for running the "ropes" through to haul it
up and luff it over.

So, if anyone can answer the two queries - i.e.
1 is there a tower reflector group?; and
2 has anyone got some pix of the lower section of a post-mounted tower?
