As an antidote to the usual antenna farm, Bristol Contest Group decided to  
go back to basics this year and enter the Restricted section. A far cry from  
towers and beams, our antenna this year was a theme on a very long doublet.  
Although our site always allows us some nice runs, low power also means a  lot 
more searching, pouncing and seeking out those elusive mults.
 
No problems this year, good weather throughout and our shiny new  generator 
stood the pace easily.
 
In raw Qs we were only 2 off the thousand. We were calling our little  heads 
off in those last few minutes trying to get the extra 2 but no  joy.
 
Great as well to have the whole thing down, caravan packed, back to the  
storage site and on our way home within 2 hours of the end!
 
After dupes, the stats will be around 970 QSOs, over 100 mults and in  excess 
of 300,000 points.
 
Nice to work everyone including one or two 5 banders and see you again  next 
year.
