[UK-CONTEST] BERU - what should I have done?

During the Commonwealth Contest I worked 'GM4MH'. I
know/knew jolly well that I had the call wrong, but
due to inertia and/or senility I didn't chase the
station to get it correct. I left the contact in the
log on the grounds that it would be unfair to penalise
the other station. Of course, I should have never let
it happen at all, but I did!
