Hiya Guys

Now, let me start by saying that I am still a pretty poor RTTY operator, but
hopefully I'm improving. So, I'm canvassing opinion rather than giving my
expert opinion!
The RSGB 80M CCs have really given me a chance to improve my set-up and also
my technique. These little contests have been hugely popular and have been
instrumental in encouraging many open minded operators to leave their
comfort zone and try to become proficient using unfamiliar modes. So popular
in fact that the data section gets very, very crowded. If you take away the
3kHz for PSK that leaves just 13kHz for all of the teletype traffic. In my
view that's not enough.
So, how about a change in the rules to allow operation below 3580? It can't
cause much of a problem. There may be a few whingers I suppose but the
reality is that CW band is pretty sparsely populated during the week.

Just a thought .. 73 Ian G3WVG
