[UK-CONTEST] Tower problem

Hi, on the middle section of Strumech towers there are tapered pieces fitted into each tube, this is to prevent the section fouling the cross braces and jamming. One of these cones has sheared off on our clubs tower, does anyone have experience of replacing them. Difficult to see how they are held in. I have a sneaking feeling they are shrunk in. Thanks in anticipation.
