Not sure what sort of co-operation you / Jochen would get but maybe it 
would be an idea to contact Ebay - they may have some sort of method of 
alerting the appearance of stolen goods on their site; if not, then 
contacting the injured party automatically if/when such items appear.

Just a thought.
