I managed to get on for 45 mins yesterday, condx/activity seemed quite
good.....worked GI (IO74), EI (IO62) and heard GM and PA, but ran out of
time.
Will hopefully be on this afternoon, if my plan to get the rest of the
family round to mother-in-law's works :-)
Pity the contest wasn't 2 days ago, the HB9 2m beacon was in and out here
all day and there were plenty of F/ON/PA/DL stations around.
All with a simple setup - 100W and 9 ele yagi rotated 'armstrong' method.
Les - get hold of an old 2m yagi off Junsksale or Lynchline, stick it up on
a pole and try it out, you might be surprised....I once worked SM with 10w
and an old 5 ele tie-wrapped to a bird feeder ;-)
