[UK-CONTEST] Softrock

Hello,
Have you successfully used a Softrock to act as a panoramic display on a Kenwood transceiver? I am interested in doing so, but the only information I can find on the SoftRock Yahoo group seems to assume more knowledge than I have.
I am only a humble Mechanical Engineer, so I need a circuit diagram and some words of explanation, rather than a vague 'hook it together like this' kind of approach! HI.
